Biography
Toufik Marir is a Full Professor of Computer Science at the University of Oum El Bouaghi and Research Director within the Distributed-Intelligent Systems Engineering (DISE) team of the ReLa(CS)² research laboratory on complex systems, which he has headed since 2020. He holds a PhD in Science (Artificial Intelligence option) from the University of Annaba, focusing on a quality assurance approach for multi-agent systems, as well as a university Habilitation (2019), and previously earned a Magister in software engineering and artificial intelligence and an engineering degree in distributed and parallel systems. His research addresses multi-agent systems, software engineering, software quality assurance and intelligent embedded systems. He has held numerous teaching and research responsibilities, chaired several international and national conferences, edited proceedings with Springer, and serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Computer Aided Engineering and Technology. Author of many publications in leading journals and conferences, he supervises several doctoral projects and a PRFU research project on the engineering of normative multi-agent systems.
