Biography
Taïeb Hafsi is Professor Emeritus and former Strategy and Society Chair at HEC Montréal, and one of the leading voices in strategic management in the Francophone world. A Harvard Business School DBA graduate and MIT Sloan alumnus, he has taught executives and students across North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, primarily through the case method. His research focuses on strategy, governance, organizational transformation, and leadership in complex organizations. Author of nearly 40 books and hundreds of scholarly publications, he has received numerous international awards for his contributions to research and teaching. Before joining academia, he held senior executive positions at Sonatrach, where he oversaw Algeria's refining and petrochemical operations.
