Biography
Abdeldjalil Ouahabi is a Full Professor in the Electronics and Energy Department at the École Polytechnique de l'Université de Tours (France), a recognized specialist in signal and image processing, artificial intelligence, and medical imaging. He holds a Ph.D. in Signal Processing from Grenoble INP and a State Doctorate from Grenoble INP-USTHB Algiers, and boasts an h-index of 39 (Google Scholar), with more than 50 journal articles, 90 conference papers, 33 invited talks, and 9 books to his name, several published by Iste-Wiley. Co-Scientific Director, alongside Fields Medal laureate Professor Cédric Villani, of the "Artificial Intelligence" project for Algeria, he also leads the Signal Processing and Machine Learning team at the LIMPAF laboratory, University of Bouira. A visiting professor at Qatar University and a Distinguished Visiting Professor at Bucknell University (Pennsylvania), he has received numerous distinctions, including the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Best Paper Award (1999) and Algeria's Higher Education Excellence Prize (1993, ranked first across all specialties). A member of several international editorial boards (Electronics, Sensors, IMA), he has supervised 10 doctoral students and regularly appears in Algerian media discussing artificial intelligence.
