Biography
Samir Baha-Eddine Maliki has been an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Western Brittany (Brest, France) since 2022, after serving as a Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Tlemcen from 2015 to 2022. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (2010, with the congratulations of the jury) and an earlier PhD obtained at Tlemcen, together with a Habilitation to Lead Research and the French qualification for associate professorship (CNU 05). His research covers applied economics and business, innovation and entrepreneurship, water and environmental economics, and sustainability and digitalisation. Author of numerous articles in internationally indexed journals (Scopus, CNRS, HCERES, FNEGE) and edited volumes, he is a Research Fellow of the Economic Research Forum in Cairo and a member of several international editorial boards and scientific councils. He founded and directed several master's and doctoral programmes at Tlemcen and supervised around a dozen doctoral theses as well as more than a hundred master's dissertations.
